DAY 1: HOCHIMINH ARRIVAL

Dinner

Morning arrival at Ho Chi Minh City from Bangkok by Air Asia flight and proceed for a city tour of Ho Chi Minh covering old Post Office, Notre Dame de Paris Church, Presidential Palace, War Crime Museum, Thien Hau Pagoda, China Town and Binh Tay Market.

Dinner at local restaurant. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.

DAY 2: HOCHIMINH CITY – CUCHI TUNNEL

Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner

After breakfast, transfer to visit Cu Chi Tunnels _ an important base during the American War, because of its strategic location. The Vietcong built a 200km long network of tunnels connecting command posts, hospitals, shelter and weapon factories. Dug out of hard laterite by hand tools without the use of cement, this amazing network was never discovered. Lunch at local restaurant.

Return to Ho Chi Minh City and free afternoon for shopping.

DAY 3: HOCHIMINH – HANOI

Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner

Departure from Ho Chi Minh City by Vientam Airlines in the morning for Hanoi. Upon arrival at Hanoi, check in hotel. Lunch at local restaurant then proceed to visit Hoan Kiem with Ngoc Son Temple, take 1-hour Cyclo trip around with 36 streets of Ha Noi old quarter and enjoy the performance of the famous Vietnamese traditional art of water puppetry at Thang Long theatre.

Dinner at local restaurant. Overnight at hotel in Hanoi.

DAY 4: HANOI – HALONG

Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner

Afternoon, city tour to visit Hochiminh Complex, this complex comprises the Mausoleum of the nation’s founder Hochiminh (closed on Monday, Friday and the whole months of October-November), the Presidential Palace and the Ho Chi Minh’s house on stilts, the One Pillar Pagoda, whose origins date back to the foundation of city. We follow this with a trip to the Temple of Literature, which is well known as the first university of Vietnam built in 1070. Lunch at local restaurant.

Afternoon, transfer to Halong via vehicle (160km driving one way – 3.5hrs drive). This will be your first opportunity to see some of the rural areas of Vietnam. The drive goes through the Red River delta, so we’ll have plenty of chance for taking photo of Vietnamese farmers tilling the vast green paddy field. At half way, we will have a visit to a handicraft workshop with fine clothes and embroidered paintings.

Arrival Ha long, check in hotel. Free at leisure. Dinner at local restaurant. Overnight at hotel in Halong.

DAY 5: HA LONG – HANOI

Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner

Morning, embark on a boat for an exploration of the legendary Halong Bay. This exciting four (4) hour cruise will provide a fantastic view of the picturesque scenery blending with the sky and some 3,000 limestone islands rising amazingly from the clear and emerald water. The limestone karsts formations are littered with beaches, grottoes and beautiful caves. Along the way the cruise boat will anchor for a leisurely swim in a secluded cove and an enjoyable visit to one of the many hidden grottoes beneath towering cliffs.

Enjoy lunch onboard the cruise.

Afternoon, transfer to Hanoi capital. Free at leisure for shopping in the Old quarter.

Dinner at local restaurant. Overnight at hotel in Hanoi.

DAY 6: HANOI DEPARTURE

Breakfast

Free day in Hanoi till departure for Airport for boarding return/onward flight.
