Washed by water and lapped by waves for hundreds of thousands of years, the limestone basin has been carved into stalactic caves, crescent beaches and odd-shaped formations.
SAPA
At an elevation of 1,500 meters, about 380km from Hanoi, Sapa is Vietnam’s most picturesque hill station and is well off the beaten tourist track. The French founded the village on the slope of the Hoang Lien Son Mountain in 1903 and used it as a cool gateway. From the town center, visitors can see cloud-capped peaks, crystal clear streams and steep terraced vegetable gardens. There are a number of nice hill tribe villages and local fairs to visit

Ninh Binh, about 90km from Hanoi, is also known as “inland Halong Bay” with many limestone formations and huge rocks that dot the area and jut out of paddy fields and canals. Ninh Binh is endowed with the historical relics dating back to the Dinh, Early Le, Ly and Tran dynasties (10th – 13th centuries). Major attactions are Hoa Lu Ancient Capital with the temples of King Dinh Tien Hoang and King Le Dai Hanh, Tam Coc Bich Dong, Trang An cave, Van Long Preserved Area, Thung Nang (Shining Valley), Cuc Phuong National park, etc.
HUE
Being Vietnam’s feudal capital from 1802 to 1945 under the Nguyen dynasty, Hue is widely known for the magnificent architecture of its citadels, palaces, royal tombs, pagodas and temples set in a poetic background of greenery on the banks of the Perfume River. With those vestiges and cultural treasures, Hue become Vietnam’s first World Cultural Heritage site recognized by UNESCO IN 1993.
DANANG
The busy sea port of Danang in Central Vietnam is the country’s fourth-largest city. The French named the city Tourane after it succeeded Hoi An (Faifo) as a vital deep water trading port in the 19th century. More recently, Danang was made famous in the Hollywood film “Good Morning Vietnam”. A short drive from downtown Danang takes visitors to the splendid beaches of Non Nuoc, My Khe and Tien Sa. Danang is also the gateway to nearby World Heritage sites such as My Son, Hoi An and Hue.
HOIAN
30km south of Danang by the Thu Bon River, the tranquil town of Hoi An was a noted commercial harbor city in Southeast Asia from the 15th to the 19th century. A lot of building including bridges, houses, temples, streets, etc. were erected during this period to serve merchants coming from china, Japan, Portugal, France, etc. Today, a delightful mixture of ancient structures with local residents everyday life creates a unique image of a modern day town in the atmosphere of bygone days. This living museum was declared a World Culture Heritage site by UNESCO in late 1999.
MYSON
My Son, 70km southwest of Danang, bore witness to the splendid Hindu-influenced culture flourishing along the coastal plains of Vietnam during the 4th – 14th centuries. Filled with architectural treasures and sculptures, the area is Vietnam’s most important Cham site and most of the temples were dedicated to Cham kings associated with divinities. This complex was recognized as a World Culture Heritage in late 1999
HOCHIMINH CITY
Located on the banks of the Saigon River, Hochiminh city (formerly Saigon) is a rapidly developing and dynamic city. The city is considered the economic capital of the country and keeps booming with new hotels and businesses. Yet “The Pearl of the Orient” still retains its charm with shaded boulevards, pavement cafes and French-European-styled buildings.
The 215-kilometer Cuchi underground tunnel system was built in 1930 and features numerous underground shelters, sleeping quarters, meeting rooms, hospitals and social centers. It’s a must-see site for a visit to Hochiminh city.
THE MEKONG DELTA
This huge river delta is covered with rice fields and winding tributaries of the Mekong Delta of which the estimated length is 4,023km. From the high plateau of Tibet, The Mekong River flows through China, Myanmar, Laos and Cambodia before reaching Vietnam where it discharges into the East Sea. The part flowing through Vietnam is known as Cuu Long Giang (nine-dragon river), divided into two major branches, the Tien Giang (the Front River) and Hau Giang (the Back River). The Mekong Delta is home to a bustling rural culture with its lush vegetation, islet farms and floating markets. It is considered the rice bowl of the nation.
Though each individual town is difficult to be singled out, My Tho (75km from HCMC), Vinh Long (136km from HCMC), Ben Tre (85km from HCMC), Dong Thap (162km from HCMC), Can Tho (170km from HCMC), Chau Doc (285km from HCMC), Ha Tien (390km from HCMC and 110km from Chau Doc), Soc Trang, Tra Vinh, Ca Mau, Bac Lieu, etc, are all especially worth paying visit to.
LAOS MAJOR PLACES OF INTEREST
Laos, a landlocked country, was once part of old IndoChina. A French protectorate, Laos traces its history to the Kingdom of Lan Xang (Land of a Million Elephants). Arrival at Tan Son Nhat International Airport, meet and greet by our representative, followed by transfer to hotel. Ho Chi Minh was an ancient seaport called Prey Nokom during the Khmer Era, till it’s annexation to Vietnamese Kingdom in the 17th century. Later the city was called Saigon and became the capital of the French colony of Cochinchin. During 1954-1975, Saigon becomes the capital of independent South Vietnam. After the Vietnam war, the capital was shifted to Hanoi, and city was renamed as Ho Chi Minh City.
In the afternoon proceed for a city tour of Ho Chi Minh City covering the impressive Presidential Palace, which was the former residence of the President of South Vietnam until end of April 1975 and War Remnant Museum – the enigmatic Old Saigon Post Office, Notre Dame Cathedral, beautiful Thien Hau Pagoda, China Town and the bustling Binh Tay Market. The Vietcong built a 200km long network of tunnels connecting command posts, hospitals, shelter and weapon factories. Afternoon, city tour to visit visit Notre Dame Cathedral, the Old Sai Gon Post Office , former US Embassy, City Hall, China Town and the Emperor Jade Pagoda (Phuoc Hai), one of the most interesting pagodas in Vietnam. End of the day we concludes with a stroll through the famous Ben Thanh Market, whose clock tower over the main entrance to what was formerly known as Les Halles Centrale is the symbol of Saigon. Opened first in 1914, it features one-way aisles loaded with people clamoring to sell you cheap goods (T-shirts, aluminum wares, silk, bamboo, and lacquer) and postcards.

Today we take an excursion to My Tho. We will be traveling past miles of flat rice fields, along a bustling High Way. On arrival at My Tho, we embark on a boat to Thoi Son Island where we will be entertained with traditional music. We will then change to a paddle boat to cruise through the narrow canals and visit home grown industries like coconut candy and rice-wine making. We next travel by motorized boat to another Mekong island to visit a bee farm and try tea with fresh honey from the beehives and enjoy fresh seasonal fruits, which is a great way to observe the local lifestyle close-up and catch a view dotted by many islands. As we return to My Tho there will be a visit to the Vinh Trang Pagoda.

Morning, leave Hue we drive south to Hoian which was originally a Cham seaport but has been influenced down the centuries by a myriad of traders from various cultures. The scenic road is hugging the coastline before crossing over the winding Hai Van pass. A view from the top of the pass is one of Vietnam’s most impressive panoramic scenes. We stop en route to visit the Cham Museum in Danang City, the China Beach and the Marble Mountain, whose peaks represent the five elements of the universe.

An optional early start gives you the fantastic opportunity to participate in the daily morning rituals of saffron-clad monks collecting offerings of Alms (often in the form of sticky rice) from the faithful residents. This tradition is very unique in Laos, being the only Buddhist nation still preserving the ritual. From there you will visit the morning Phousi Market, where you will see such diverse offerings as dried buffalo skin, local tea and saltpeter among the chickens, vegetables and hill-tribe weavings. Laos is also known for its traditional crafts, and today you will visit local villages of Lao ethnic minority groups at Ban Ouay, a Hmong village, Ban Ou, Laoloum Village and Ban Thapene, all Khmu villages. This then takes us to the beautiful Khouangsi Waterfall where you can cool off with a refreshing swim in the pools or walk along the forest paths. Lunch at local restaurant.

On the way to the famous and sacred structure of That Luang Stupa, we will stop to take some pictures of the imposing Patuxay Monument, which is well known as Vientiane’s own Arc de Triumph. From there, we visit the central or ‘Morning Market’ which is a great place for browsing antiques, handmade textiles and gifts. Lunch at local restaurant.
PM: We spend the rest of this day touring the Lao capital, visiting the National Museum (closed Tuesday) formerly known as the Revolutionary Museum, which exhibits artifacts, photos and legends of Laos’s history fighters and leaders from the Ancienttimes to the new revolution period. We then board our short flight to the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage City of Luang Prabang, which is perhaps the best – preserved traditional city in Southeast Asia. On arrival, we transfer you to your hotel. After a short rest, we stroll around the Night Market, where you can find a lovely selection of textiles made by the local and the hilltribe people surrounding Luang Prabang. DAY 1: ARRIVAL LUANG PRABANG

On arrival at the airport, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. After a short rest, we visit the impressive stupa of Wat Visoun and the shrine of Wat Aham and Wat Mai. We then climb up to the top of Mount Phousi for an enjoyable exploration of the sacred, gilded stupa as well as a beautiful sunset view of the city and the Mekong River. From there, we explore the Night Market, where you can find a lovely selection of handmade textiles made by the hilltribe and local people surrounding Luang Prabang.

DAY 2: LUANG PRABANG – PAK OU CAVE – KHOUANGSI WATERFALL

An optional early start gives you the fantastic opportunity to participate in the daily morning rituals of saffron-clad monks collecting offerings of Alms (often in the form of sticky rice) from the faithful residents. This tradition is very unique in Laos, being the only Buddhist nation still preserving the ritual. You can also visit the morning Phosi Market where you canl see such diverse offerings as dried buffalo skin, local tea and saltpeter among the chickens, vegetables and hill-tribe weavings.
AM: After breakfast, we enjoy a short-guided tour seeing the city’s oldest temple of Wat Sene and the magnificent Wat Xiengthong with its roofs sweeping low to the ground, which represents classical Laotian architecture. We then board a cruise upstream on the Mekong River, which also gives us a panaromic view of the tranquil countryside as well as an interesting visit to the mysterious of Pak Ou Caves, two linked caves crammed with thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues of various shapes and sizes left by pilgrims. Along the way, we stop at the small village of Ban Xanghai, where the local rice wine is distilled. We return to Luang Prabang in the afternoon, on the way we take a short drive to Ban Phanom, a small village well known for its hand weaving. Lunch at local restaurant.
PM: After lunch we continue towards Khouangsi Waterfall, en route, we visit the local villages of Lao ethnic minority groups at Ban Ouay, Ban Ou, Laoloum and Ban Thapene, and then drive to the beautiful Khouangsi Waterfall. Here you can take a dip in the inviting pools or walk along the forest trails surrounding the waterfall. We return to Luang Prabang by late afternoon and continue to Ban Xangkhong, a village well known for silk handweaving and for traditional Saa Paper making. We return to the city by late evening to watch the sunset at Wat Siphouthabath.

DAY 3: LUANG PRABANG – VIENTIANE (FLIGHT 40MINS)

The National Museum (closed Tuesdays) at the former Royal Palace, displays a lovely collection of the artefacts reflecting the richness of Lao culture dating from the days of the early kings right through the last sovereign. The National Museum and the Central Market are not to be missed. We visit these sights in the morning before catching our flight back to Vientiane. Lunch at local restaurant.
Upon arrival in Vientiane, we see the major sights of the capital; including the oldest Wat Sisaket, the temple with thousands of miniature Buddha statues and the former royal temple of Wat Prakeo, which previously housed the famous Emerald Buddha Image. On the way to Lao’s national precious heritage, the famous and sacred structure of That Luang Stupa, we stop enroute to take some pictures of the imposing Patuxay Monument, which is well known as Vientiane’s own Arc de Triumph. We watch the sunset by Mekong Riverside and spend the evening here absorbing the city’s nightlife.

Heading 2km out of Vang Vieng town we explore the famous caves of Tham Jang, which was once used by the local people as a hideout from Chinese invaders. Upon leaving Vang Vieng, the roads begin to deteriorate; however the stunning mountain scenery makes for an interesting journey. We wind our way through the mountains to Luang Prabang. This town with its gleaming temple roofs, fading colonial architecture and stunning mountain backdrop has been claimed by UNESCO to be “the best preserved traditional city in South East Asia”. DAY 4: LUANG PRABANG – CITY TOUR

Group booking policy:
For group bookings of minimum 15 full-paying persons, the 16th person is free of charge in half-twin.
For group bookings of minimum 20 full-paying persons, the 21st person is free of charge in single room.
Child Policy – free of Charge for infant below 2yr:
* Package tours:
Children below 12 years old sharing room with 2 adults and requiring extra bed are granted 25% discount; children below 12 years old sharing room with 2 adults without extra bed are granted 45% discount.
* Accommodation only:
No additional charge if children up to 11 years old shared room & existing beds with parents (no breakfast included). If an extra bed is requested, the applicable rate as per our tariff for an extra bed will be charged, which also includes breakfast
