HANOI, CITY HIGHLIGHTS

After breakfast depart for an insider’s tour of the capital. Start with a tour of the Long Bien Bridge (originally name Doumer Bridge) which was built in 1902 by Sir Gustave Eiffel. Take a walking tour of this fascinating structure to learn more on how this bridge helped shape Hanoi’s future. From Long Bien, drive to the capital’s Old Quarter. This bustling area of narrow streets and alleys is home to literally thousands of small businesses and shopkeepers. It’s a great place to explore with plenty of photo opportunities all around you. A mixture of village and old way of life amidst a modern and growing city offer amazing contrasts. Continue to the Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first university, also referred to as Van Mieu, was established within a temple to educate Vietnam’s royalty. Time permitting, or as an alternative to one of the above, visit the highly acclaimed Vietnam Women’s Museum which displays highlight Vietnam’s vast cultural diversity and educate on the significant role Vietnamese women play in Vietnamese society. If you wish, we will make the stops at West Lake and one of the oldest Buddhist pagodas in Hanoi, Tran Quoc. The romantic Than Nhien causeway where the pagoda and temple are situated makes an excellent backdrop for photographs.

HANOI, HALONG BAY

Hạ Long Bay, in northeast Vietnam, is known for its emerald waters and thousands of towering limestone islands topped by rainforests. Junk boat tours and sea kayak expeditions take visitors past islands named for their shapes, including Stone Dog and Teapot islets. The region is popular for scuba diving, rock climbing and hiking, particularly in mountainous Cát Bà National Park.
08:00 – 08:30 Leaving Hanoi after breakfast for Halong bay.
12.00 – 13.00 Arrive at Tuan Chau island – Take break and welcome drink at Image Halong Cruise Lounge.
Transfer to Pelican Halong Cruise.
13.00 – 19.30 Welcome drink – receive cruise briefing, safety instructions and check in. Start cruising and explore Halong Bay – one of the New Seven Wonders of Nature.
Enjoy lunch with Vietnamese and International dishes served while cruising through the bay, passing the most beautiful and quiet areas, such as Incense Burner, Dog Stone Islet, Fighting Cock, Soi Sim beach, Coconut Three Island.
Visiting Luon cave, the perfect combination of lime-stone mountains and jade-green sea by bamboo boat with local people or kayaking based on your preference. Enjoy quiet space and pure air, you will feel relaxed truly. If you are lucky, you will see monkeys on islands.
Visiting the beautiful Ti Top beach for swimming (if the weather permits), Ti Top Beach is especially famous for its fresh atmosphere, clean water, and smooth white sand that create a great ambiance for tourists to relax or passengers can take steps to reach on the top of Ti Top beach to have a whole panorama view of Halong Bay. Back to the boat and free time while sailing to Luon Bo area, and anchor overnight.
Attend the Cooking class on sundeck – How to make Vietnamese spring rolls – traditional Vietnamese food. It is time for chit chat and relaxing. Watch the magnificent sunset over Halong Bay.

CRUISE ON THE BAY

06.00 – 08.30 Taking part in Tai Chi class on the sundeck (duration about 30 minutes).
Coffee, tea and pastries for breakfast are served in the dining room with morning view of bay’s landscape.
08.30 – 19.30 Transfer to day boat for visiting Vung Vieng village. Visit “Vung Viêng” village by a rustic – row boat, meet the local people who will help you row the boat for sightseeing. Enjoy quiet space and fresh air, you will feel truly relaxing. Then Set Menu Lunch will be served on day boat.
Time for sunbathing on sundeck, enjoy beauty of the Bai Tu Long bay and free kayaking and swimming at Bai Tu Long bay area, a pristine natural one lapped by turquoise water (if the weather permit). Possibility of kayaking through an amazing tunnel carved under a limestone mountain. Back to Pelican Halong Cruise. Free time on boat for relaxing.

06.00 – 08.00 The day starts early onboard with Tai Chi session on the sundeck. Tai chi, also called Tai chi chuan, combines deep breathing and relaxation with slow and gentle movements. Coffee, tea and pastries for breakfast are served in the dining room with morning view of bay’s landscape.
08.00 – 11.30 Transfer by tender to Sung Sot Cave. Walk up about 100 steps to the cave entrance. It takes approximately 45 minutes for cave visiting. Visit Sung Sot Cave, one of the most biggest cave in Halong bay with beautiful stalactites and stalagmites. Return to the boat by tender……Ready for check out.
Have a lunch while cruising back to the Tuan Chau Wharf. Relaxing on the sundeck or in the dining room enjoying the bay scenery while approaching the wharf…… Disembark and transfer to Hanoi for our flight heading to Danang. Get the pick up on arrival and continue to our selected resort on Hoian. Rest on your own in the evening.

Discover the history and flavours of Vietnam during this walking and cooking tour of Hoi An. Stroll past the many Chinese Assembly Halls, from the Cantonese Chinese Congregation with its impressive main altar, to the Hainan Chinese Congregation, which serves as a memorial to 107 merchants from Hainan Island who were mistaken for pirates and killed during the reign of Emperor Tu Duc. Stop by the Japanese Covered Bridge, which was constructed in the 1590s by the town’s Japanese community to link them with the Chinese quarters across the stream.
After this brief walking tour of Hoi An, head to a family-run restaurant for a delightful local cooking class. The chef will run through the range of delicious dishes that you will recreate. HOIAN; COUNTRYSIDE BIKE RIDE

Spend a day leisurely cycling though the scenic countryside of Vietnam, far from the traffic the motor scooters, and the noises the city. You will cross the islands on the Song Thu river delta using local transportation, including ferries and floating bridge . This tour will take you to discover how wooden river boats  are made, learn the secret of weaving the colorful straw “Hoi An” sleeping mats, try the renowned Vietnamese basket boats . You will spend the day with first-hand contact with one of the rural inhabitant of the region, far from the usual tourist circuits…..At lunchtime you will be invited into the home of a local Vietnamese family for a traditional Vietnamese meal, and learn their customs and traditions. After lunch and break, you will begin your return towards Hoi An, which will take about an hour.

– After so much activity, you will surely be hungry. You will be served a sumptuous set lunch on board with local beers, fine wine, or premium spirits as the boat anchors at Tam Island with its tranquil lagoon and fish farms.
– The next destination of this afternoon is Mieu Island for a walking tour to visit the local fishing villages. Learn about the way of life away from the mainland and interact with the friendly locals while learning a little about the daily lives of the villagers.
